San Roque launches 20‑year patron saint festival with 30 musical acts

San Roque will celebrate the 20th anniversary of its patron saint festival, a national tourist‑interest event, with ten days of activities from 14 to 23 August. The programme, presented by Mayor Alberto Varela and municipal councillors, includes 81 free events and a line‑up of 30 musical performances. International acts such as Marky Ramone will open the festivities on 18 August, followed by performances from Chenoa, The Ningures, The Skarallas and a special appearance by Barry B on 20 August.

The celebration also features a naval combat display, a parade of floats and a pre‑festival opening speech by journalist Xabier Fortes. Organisers aim to attract more than the 330,000 visitors recorded the previous year and to showcase a diverse cultural programme for all ages.
