San Salvador de Jujuy offers free home gardening training
The Municipality of San Salvador de Jujuy has opened registration for the “Transformar para Sembrar II” training program. This free initiative is designed to provide practical tools for recognizing, classifying, and using seeds, as well as instructions for creating home gardens.
Starting November 3, the in-person sessions will take place from 9:00 to 11:00 AM at the municipal headquarters located at Almirante Brown Avenue and Oscar Orías. The program will run for one month, with two hours of instruction per week. This stage of the training focuses on spring planting, teaching participants about suitable species, cultivation conditions, and garden organization.
According to Sandra Batistella, Undersecretary of Human Development, the program aims to support families in environmental care, improving quality of life, and potentially creating labor alternatives. Marisa García, director of the municipal area, noted that the initiative aligns with the promotion of healthy eating and the theme of World Food Day.
