San Salvador de Jujuy renovates urban stairs to improve connectivity

The Ministry of Infrastructure in San Salvador de Jujuy is executing a project to renovate urban stairs to improve pedestrian connectivity between various neighborhoods. According to Infrastructure Secretary José Suarez, three interventions have already been completed, while seven work fronts remain active.

Completed works include the stairs connecting Ciudad de Nieva to Patricias Argentinas, Villa San Martín (Goyechea street) to Fascio and Patricias Argentinas, and Villa Belgrano (Santa María de Oro street) to the city center via Lavalle street.

Ongoing projects include connections between the El Chingo neighborhood and the city center, the Gorriti and Alto Gorriti neighborhoods via El Éxodo Avenue, and the interconnection between Buenos Aires and Iguazú streets toward the Cuyaya and Moreno neighborhoods. Additionally, work is progressing on the connection between Ciudad de Nieva and the center near San Martín Park.

The project involves constructing or recovering stairs, handrails, sidewalks, and curbs, as well as installing lighting and improving storm drainage systems. One specific section, connecting Villa San Martín to the center via Acoyte street and Santibáñez Avenue, has reached 75% completion.
