San Salvatore Selargius wins inaugural Trofeo Aeroitalia

San Salvatore Selargius won the inaugural Trofeo Aeroitalia, a preseason tournament featuring four Sardinian teams from the Serie A2 Femminile. In a closely contested final at Sa Duchessa, Selargius defeated Virtus Cagliari 53-51. Pandori led the winning side with 16 points, while El Habbab scored 20 for Virtus.

In the third-place match, Cus Cagliari secured a decisive 56-37 victory over Mercede Alghero. The tournament served as a critical preparation phase for the upcoming league season, which begins on October 3.

As part of the event, Aeroitalia announced a partnership to provide free flights for the entire season to all four Sardinian clubs: Cus Cagliari, Virtus Cagliari, San Salvatore Selargius, and Mercede Alghero. This agreement aims to alleviate the significant travel costs associated with competing in the national championship.
