San Salvo holds funerals for Annabella Cerbone and Claudio Santavenere

The community of San Salvo gathered to hold funeral services for Annabella Cerbone, 23, and Claudio Santavenere, 16. The pair, who were aunt and nephew, died following a tragic road accident on via Grasceta on Friday, September 4.

During the service at the Church of San Giuseppe, local clergy called for the community to find strength in faith and love rather than being overcome by anger or a desire for vengeance. The ceremony also honored other young people injured in the same crash and offered condolences to their families.
