San Salvo project launches work opportunities for youth with autism

Metamer and Fondazione Il Cireneo ETS have launched a new project titled ‘Un’esperienza di lavoro per giovani con autismo’ (A work experience for young people with autism) in San Salvo, Italy. The initiative aims to provide concrete employment opportunities and internships for young people with autism, helping them develop professional skills, autonomy, and social interaction within a real working environment.

The project is supported by the Municipality of San Salvo, which is providing transportation services to assist participants. Local officials, including Mayor Emanuela De Nicolis and Social Policy Assessor Gianmarco Travaglini, emphasized the importance of collaboration between businesses, the third sector, and public institutions to build a more inclusive community and foster personal growth for neurodivergent individuals.
