San Sebastian Film Festival features Albert Serra film on Ingrid Caven

Director Albert Serra will present his film ‘Seize moments de ma vie’ at the San Sebastian Film Festival. The experimental portrait focuses on German singer and actress Ingrid Caven during a concert at the Théâtre des Bouffes du Nord in Paris.

Rather than a conventional biography, the film uses 16 songs to depict various stages of Caven's life without voiceover or chronological narration. Serra, who inaugurated the festival's ‘Made in Spain’ section with this work, describes the film not as a tribute to the past, but as the beginning of a new artistic stage for the 86-year-old performer.

The San Sebastian Film Festival's Official Selection consists of unreleased feature films that meet FIAPF conditions for competitive film festivals. These films compete for the Golden Shell (Concha de Oro), though the festival maintains a distinction between its competitive section and other special screenings.
