San Sebastiano al Vesuvio's Rassegna del Verde 2026 draws record crowds

The fifth edition of the Rassegna del Verde 2026 at the Arena San Sebastiano in San Sebastiano al Vesuvio saw unprecedented attendance. Organized by Social Break Point with the support of the municipality and mayor Giuseppe Panico, the program featured 21 cinema evenings that attracted 4,000 spectators and eight live shows drawing 7,000 attendees, with ten events sold out. The venue offered over 1,000 seats and a newly expanded stage, and the schedule runs through early September.

In parallel, the "Vesuvio Sotto le Stelle" night‑hike series continued throughout August 2026. Managed by Vesuvio Natura da Esplorare and authorized by the Parco Nazionale del Vesuvio, the excursions are backed by the communes of Ercolano and Trecase. Guided walks begin at sunset, last about two and a half hours, and include stargazing, geological talks, and a local wine aperitif, all conducted plastic‑free. The initiative highlights the natural and cultural heritage of the volcano’s surroundings.
