San Sebastián de La Gomera opens Félix Casanova de Ayala literary contest

The City Council of San Sebastián de La Gomera has opened the application period for the fifth edition of the Félix Casanova de Ayala Literary Contest. Held in conjunction with the October Festivities, the competition features two categories: short stories and poetry.

Submissions must be original, unpublished works written in Spanish. The contest explicitly prohibits the use of generative artificial intelligence for the creation or modification of entries. The central theme for the works is the cultural, festive, and traditional aspects of the island of La Gomera.

Interested participants must submit their entries by September 25, either through the municipal electronic office or in person at the Registry Office. The jury's decision will be announced on October 2.
