San Sebastián Film Festival hosts Kabia for emerging talent

The San Sebastián International Film Festival is hosting the fourth edition of Kabia, an initiative designed to connect emerging filmmakers with international industry professionals. The event is a collaborative effort between the festival, Tabakalera, and the Elías Querejeta Zine Eskola (EQZE) film school.

Scheduled for September 21 at the Tabakalera Film and Audiovisual Lab, the program allows new creators—including participants from Nest, Ikusmira Berriak, Noka, and 2deo Serieak—to present their work, receive direct feedback, and engage with experts in funding, production, and international promotion. Expected attendees include representatives from major institutions such as the Torino Film Lab, Les Arcs, the Sarajevo Film Festival, Cannes Semaine de la Critique, and the Berlinale. Additionally, developing projects can utilize video pitching through the festival's Online Industry platform to access the global market.
