San Sebastián police identify 14 victims in candy store sexual assault case

The Ertzaintza has identified 14 new victims of sexual assault linked to a 22-year-old man who operated a candy store in the Amara neighborhood of San Sebastián. The victims, all between the ages of 10 and 18 at the time of the incidents, have provided statements to the regional police.

The investigation began in June following reports of two sexual assaults against a minor occurring on June 25 and 26. The suspect was arrested on June 30 and remains in provisional prison. Subsequent analysis of evidence, witness testimonies, and new complaints has expanded the scope of the investigation, which now covers a period of approximately six years, with some incidents dating back to 2020.

The Ertzaintza continues to investigate the case and has requested public cooperation to identify any additional potential victims.
