San Severino Marche declares mourning for Stefano Marrese

The community of San Severino Marche is observing a period of mourning following the death of 21-year-old Stefano Marrese. Marrese died following a severe head-on collision with a heavy vehicle on the Perugia-Bettolle motorway near Passignano sul Trasimeno in Umbria.

At the time of the accident, Marrese was traveling to Prato, Tuscany, for a professional training course in his role as an energy consultant for Optima. Mayor Rosa Piermattei has proclaimed official municipal mourning for the day of the funeral, which is scheduled for Saturday, October 17, at the Church of San Domenico. Local authorities have invited schools, businesses, and associations to participate in the day of condolence.
