San Silvestro residents demand urgent road repairs in Pescara
Residents and local political representatives in the San Silvestro district of Pescara are calling for urgent road repairs following dangerous conditions on Strada Vicinale Specchioli. Massimiliano Di Pillo, leader of the ‘Pettinari Sindaco’ list, reported that recent water and sewage network interventions have left the road surface heavily damaged with deep potholes, cracks, and unstable patches.
The deterioration is particularly severe at a curve on the main provincial road connecting Pescara and San Silvestro. The area has already seen accidents, including a recent incident where a cyclist fell due to a pothole. Protesters are demanding the immediate restoration of the asphalt, the installation of pedestrian crossings, and the addition of speed bumps to protect motorists, cyclists, and pedestrians in the area.
