San Vicente de la Barquera will host a historical reenactment of the arrival of Charles V on September 26 and 27. The event aims to bring history and tradition to residents and visitors through various scheduled activities.
On Saturday, September 26, the festivities begin with a medieval market and the simulated landing of the Imperial Court at Casa del Mar at 18:00. Later, at 21:00, the Imperial Court will visit local taverns.
Sunday, September 27, features a continued medieval market, the entry of the court and musicians into the Church of Santa María de los Ángeles at 11:30, and a Te Deum ceremony. The program includes a reenactment in the Plaza at 12:45 and a parade to the San Luis Convent at 13:15, where a falconry show will be held.
