San Vicente del Raspeig 1 Health Center to expand services

The San Vicente del Raspeig 1 Health Center is undergoing an expansion project funded by an investment of over 811,000 euros. Managed by the Conselleria de Sanidad, the works will increase the facility's useful surface area by more than 280 square meters, growing from 2,023 to approximately 2,304 square meters.

The expansion aims to address the healthcare needs of a growing local population. Key improvements include the addition of a physiotherapy support unit on the ground floor, which will feature a physiotherapy gym, a specific consultation room, and changing rooms. This new unit is intended to complement existing services at the San Vicente 2 Health Center and bring rehabilitation treatments closer to local patients.

Additionally, approximately 150 square meters will be added to the first floor to enhance care for pregnant women. These new spaces will include a midwife's gym for childbirth preparation workshops, a new consultation room with an examination area, and accessible facilities. Francisco Soriano, manager of the Alicante-Hospital General Health Department, stated the project is part of a multi-year plan to modernize and humanize healthcare infrastructure.
