San Vicente del Raspeig announces waste management and housing maintenance plans

The San Vicente del Raspeig City Council has announced several municipal initiatives aimed at improving urban services and infrastructure. As part of a waste management renewal, the city plans to install 1,000 new waste containers by the end of the year. Currently, 250 units have been placed, with another 250 expected next month and the remaining 500 to be distributed throughout the autumn. The plan also includes expanding the use of brown containers for organic matter collection to improve waste quality and potentially reduce treatment costs.

In addition to waste management, the municipality has launched a tender for the maintenance of 13 municipal properties designated for emergency housing. The project has an initial budget of €76,520 for two years, which could rise to €151,775 if a two-year extension is utilized. The contract covers essential repairs, including plumbing, electricity, and carpentry, and requires a minimum staff of seven workers. The service includes a mandate to respond to emergencies affecting habitability, safety, or health within a maximum of two hours.
