San Vito al Torre: Toddler rescued after falling into fish tank

A toddler, aged just over one year, was rescued after falling into a garden fish tank in San Vito al Torre on Wednesday morning. The child's mother discovered the girl unconscious in the water after noticing an unusual silence.

A young neighbor responded to the mother's cries and performed emergency first aid maneuvers. The child, who was cyanotic and not breathing, regained her breath and began to cry following the intervention.

Emergency services, including an ambulance and an air rescue helicopter, arrived at the scene. The girl was stabilized and transferred to the Santa Maria della Misericordia hospital in Udine. She is currently being held in the pediatric ward under observation and receiving oxygen therapy.
