San Vito dei Normanni launches school supply donation drive

The municipal administration of San Vito dei Normanni has launched a solidarity initiative titled ‘Zaino Sospeso. Si parte tutti dallo stesso banco’ (Suspended Backpack. We all start from the same desk). The campaign aims to collect new school supplies to support children and families facing economic difficulties.

From September 7 to September 30, donors can contribute items such as notebooks, pens, pencils, pencil cases, colors, and backpacks. Contributions can be dropped off in the designated ‘Zaino Sospeso’ basket located on the first floor of the Giovanni XXIII Municipal Library on Via Mazzini during opening hours.

All collected materials will be managed by the school leadership of local comprehensive institutes, who will ensure a discreet and respectful distribution to families in need. Silvia Di Dio, the Councilor for Public Education, stated that the initiative seeks to foster an inclusive school environment where all children feel equal and supported by their community.
