San Vito Lo Capo hosts 13th Tempuricapuna festival

San Vito Lo Capo is hosting the 13th edition of ‘Tempuricapuna’ from Friday, October 9, to Sunday, October 11. The event celebrates the town's maritime traditions and the blue fish fishing industry.

Organized by the Municipality of San Vito Lo Capo in collaboration with the local Fishermen's Association, the festival features several activities. These include ‘Tavulata cu’ i piscatura,’ an open-air communal meal where local fishermen serve traditional dishes such as busiate with Trapani pesto, fried amberjack, and local sweets.

Other scheduled events include boat excursions with fishermen to observe traditional fishing techniques, a fish market titled ‘Tempu ri mircatu,’ and cooking shows featuring local chefs. The festival aims to highlight regional ingredients and the cultural heritage of the local seafaring community.
