Sana Bahadur wins first PSA Tour title at Bendigo Open

Pakistani squash player Sana Bahadur has secured her first PSA Tour title by winning the Bendigo Open 2026 in Australia. The 20-year-old from Peshawar defeated former World No. 1 Rachael Grinham in a four-game final at the 3k event.

Bahadur, who has been deaf and mute since birth, has faced significant communication challenges throughout her career. This victory marks a major breakthrough for the athlete, who currently holds a world ranking of No. 181.

Following the win, Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif congratulated Bahadur, calling her a ‘daughter of Pakistan’ and noting that her performance brought pride to the nation. The Pakistan Squash Federation also issued a statement celebrating the achievement as a proud moment for the country on the international circuit.
