Sanaa forces threaten Saudi Arabia following military warnings

Sanaa-based forces have issued a stern military warning to Saudi Arabia in response to threats targeting Yemeni tribes. The forces stated that any attempt to target these groups would result in “catastrophic and unexpected” consequences and that they would resort to major military options.

In a statement, the forces claimed to have conducted four military operations within Saudi territory over the last 48 hours using ballistic missiles and drones. These reported strikes targeted the Ministry of Defense building in Riyadh, King Fahd International Airport in Dammam, an Aramco facility in Yanbu, and Abha International Airport.

Concurrently, the National Human Rights Commission in Yemen has condemned Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Defense for issuing warnings that label civilian gatherings, known as ‘Nakf,’ as legitimate military targets. The commission described the warning as a “clear admission and document of condemnation” that could constitute war crimes under international law. The commission is reportedly preparing to submit the Saudi statement as evidence to the International Criminal Court.
