Sanaa Governor launches humanitarian relief initiative for Taiz

Major General Abdulqawi Ahmed Sharif, the Governor of Sanaa, has launched a comprehensive humanitarian initiative titled ‘Sanaa and Taiz: Unity of Destiny and Brotherhood of Giving.’ The initiative aims to mobilize official, popular, and tribal efforts to send relief convoys from Sanaa to Taiz to support residents facing severe humanitarian crises.

The relief convoys will include essential food supplies, medicines, and medical equipment. The program is being organized in coordination with the Yemeni government and local authorities in Taiz to ensure aid reaches those most in need, including displaced families and vulnerable groups. The initiative involves participation from tribal leaders, businessmen, social figures, and humanitarian organizations.

In a separate development, tribal affairs in Marib held consultative meetings following a call for general mobilization. Tribal leaders discussed the role of tribes in supporting the national military and security forces.
