Sanat Melikgazi becomes a cultural hub in Kayseri

Sanat Melikgazi, a comprehensive culture and arts complex established by the Melikgazi Municipality in the Hunat neighborhood of Kayseri, has become a significant hub for local artistic activity. Although a formal opening ceremony has not yet been held, the facility has already seen high engagement from youth and art enthusiasts.

The center offers a wide variety of workshops, including ceramics, calligraphy, miniature painting, leatherwork, fashion and clothing, oil painting, and more. To accommodate working citizens, the facility provides evening and weekend courses. The complex integrates exhibition halls, workshops, and a cafeteria to support both the production and presentation of art.

Melikgazi Mayor Mustafa Palancıoğlu emphasized the municipality's commitment to social and cultural development. He also announced the 'Atölye Melikgazi' project, which aims to support women's economic and social participation. Under this initiative, women will design handmade products that are produced at local social facilities, receiving piece-rate payments to help contribute to their family budgets.
