Sanches Fernandes becomes fan favorite at Huddersfield Town

Dutch forward Derensili Sanches Fernandes has made a significant impact since joining Huddersfield Town from Excelsior. In his first twelve League One appearances, the 25-year-old from Rotterdam has recorded six goals and five assists.

Sanches Fernandes has gained widespread popularity for his unique goal celebration involving a golden mask, a ritual he brought from his time in the Netherlands. The celebration has become so popular that the club now sells masks in its fan shop, and supporters have been seen wearing them in stadium skyboxes. However, the English Football League (EFL) has contacted the player to warn him that continuing the mask celebration could result in a yellow card.

Following his strong start, rumors have surfaced regarding a potential move to the Premier League during the winter transfer window. Sanches Fernandes noted that while he reads such reports, his current focus remains on helping Huddersfield Town secure promotion.
