Sanchore police arrest two fugitives in Punjab after nine years
Sanchore police have arrested two fugitives in Bathinda, Punjab, who had been evading capture for nine years. The suspects, identified as Manpreet Singh and Lavprati Singh, each carried a reward of 25,000 rupees.
The arrests stem from a 2017 case involving the smuggling of illegal liquor from Haryana. During a checkpoint operation in April 2017, authorities seized 543 cartons of English liquor. While three other suspects were previously apprehended, Singh and Singh remained at large.
A specialized police team conducted surveillance in Bathinda after discovering the suspects had relocated there from their home village of Aklu. Following a targeted raid, both men were taken into custody.
