Sandžak Democratic Party to run independently in elections

The Sandžak Democratic Party (SDP) has decided to run independently as a minority list in the upcoming parliamentary elections. While the party intends to run solo, it has left the possibility open for a joint appearance with other minority lists that share a similar vision for social progress.

To manage the campaign, the SDP has formed a negotiating team led by party president Samir Lekić, who is tasked with meeting potential coalition partners over the next 15 days. Additionally, Albin Šabotić has been appointed to lead the Central Election Headquarters.

The party stated that this decision was made to represent its authentic policies of tolerance, solidarity, and realism amidst social polarization. Furthermore, the SDP expressed full support for the unification of the Islamic Community, suggesting such a move would help reduce political-religious tensions and overcome long-standing divisions.
