Sandals Resorts renovates Jamaican properties with local culinary focus

Sandals Resorts is renovating three of its Jamaican properties—Sandals Montego Bay, Sandals South Coast, and Sandals Caribbean Cay (formerly Sandals Royal Caribbean)—with a focus on local culinary culture.

The brand is introducing new dining concepts and bars that highlight Jamaican flavors and traditions. New offerings include “Suppa” at Caribbean Cay, inspired by traditional Sunday lunches, and “Buccan” at Montego Bay, which focuses on open-fire cooking. Other additions include “Scrimshaw” for seafood and “Heart & Sol” for lighter fare.

To emphasize the island's heritage, the group is also expanding its rum-focused experiences with the opening of the Bay Roc Rum Bar at Montego Bay, the Keynote Rum Bar at Caribbean Cay, and the B-Side Rum Bar at South Coast, scheduled for early 2027.
