SandboxAQ releases Switch to integrate AI agents into team chat

SandboxAQ has released Switch, an open-source software designed to integrate AI agents directly into existing team collaboration platforms such as Slack, Microsoft Teams, and Discord. The tool aims to solve the problem of AI agents operating in isolation within separate tools, which can create a coordination cost that reduces overall productivity.

Switch functions by creating shared “rooms” or channels where both humans and AI agents can work together using the same context, resources, and history. The platform is designed to be vendor-agnostic and model-agnostic, utilizing MCP, APIs, and adapters to prevent platform lock-in. This allows developers to connect agents built with various frameworks, including Claude Code, Google ADK, LangChain, and OpenAI, into a unified workspace.

According to Mohammed Aboul-Magd, General Manager at SandboxAQ, the software allows knowledge to compound within channels rather than being relearned for every task. The software is available in both Quick Start and Team editions and is designed for rapid deployment in enterprise environments.
