Sanderson Design Group faces legal threats amid investor dispute

Sanderson Design Group is facing internal conflict as board member Patrick Lewis threatened to sue Emmanuel de Figueiredo, founder of LBV Asset Management, over allegations regarding executive pay. LBV, which holds a 14 per cent stake in the luxury interior furnishings company, has criticized the firm for “inaction and inertia” and questioned the compensation of executives Lisa Montague and Mike Woodcock, who received a combined £1.13m last year.

In response to LBV’s criticisms, Lewis, the chair of the remuneration committee, warned that the allegations could cause “serious damage” to the group’s executives. This tension follows a shareholder vote where 26 per cent of voters opposed the firm’s remuneration report.

Amidst this dispute, Dame Dianne Thompson, the company’s chairwoman, purchased 13,092 shares at an average price of GBX 76 per share, totaling approximately £9,949.92. The company recently reported a quarterly EPS of GBX 3.32.
