Sandiaga Uno proposed for Prabowo cabinet to boost economy

Amid discussions regarding a potential reshuffle of President Prabowo Subianto’s Merah Putih Cabinet, Sandiaga Uno has been proposed as a candidate to strengthen the government’s performance. Denny H. Suryo Prabowo, Secretary General of Rumah Sandi Uno Indonesia (RSI), suggested that Uno possesses the necessary capacity to bolster the economy and investment sectors.

The call for a cabinet reshuffle follows varying survey data regarding public satisfaction with the current administration. Saiful Mujani Research and Consulting (SMRC) reported a satisfaction rate of 51.1 percent, while Poltracking Indonesia recorded 47 percent, and Tempo Data Science noted 37 percent. Additionally, a Poltracking survey indicated that 51.9 percent of respondents desire an immediate reshuffle, with the economic and legal sectors identified as the most urgent areas for improvement.

Denny H. Suryo Prabowo emphasized Uno’s background in business, his support for MSMEs and the creative economy, and his ability to attract investors as key assets. He characterized Uno as a potential ‘striker’ for investment and noted that his integrity could address concerns regarding state budget leaks and anti-corruption efforts.
