SanDisk launches Guardian Series high-endurance memory cards

SanDisk has launched the Guardian Series, a new line of high-endurance microSD cards specifically engineered for continuous recording in dash cams and security cameras. The series consists of two specialized models: the SanDisk Dash Cam Card and the SanDisk Security Cam Card.

The Dash Cam Card is designed to withstand the heat and humidity typically found in vehicles. The Security Cam Card is built for outdoor use, featuring resistance to water, dust, and temperature extremes. Both models support video resolutions ranging from Full HD to 4K UHD and are available in capacities from 32GB to 512GB.

Designed to handle the constant overwriting required by 24/7 monitoring systems, the 512GB Dash Cam Card variant is rated to last up to 40,000 recording hours, which equates to more than four years of continuous operation. The series is currently available through select retailers, with starting prices around 22.99 Euro or 20.99 Pounds.
