Sandisk launches new SATA and PCIe 5.0 SSDs for NAS

Sandisk has expanded its storage lineup with two new SSD models specifically designed for Network Attached Storage (NAS) systems: the NAS 600 SATA and the NAS 800 NVMe.

The NAS 600 SATA is a 2.5-inch, 7mm drive intended to replace traditional hard drives or serve as a cache in existing NAS bays. It offers sequential read speeds up to 560 MB/s and is available in capacities ranging from 500 GB to 4 TB.

For high-end requirements, the NAS 800 NVMe utilizes the PCIe 5.0 interface and 3D NAND TLC memory. This M.2 2280 drive is designed for use as a cache or primary storage in all-flash NAS configurations, supporting workloads such as content creation, databases, virtualization, and AI. The 1.92 TB version can reach sequential read speeds of up to 14,900 MB/s and write speeds of 13,200 MB/s. It is offered in capacities of 960 GB, 1.92 TB, 3.84 TB, and 7.68 TB.
