Sandisk shares soar on AI-driven demand as institutions increase stakes

Since its February 2025 spin‑off from Western Digital, Sandisk Corp. (NASDAQ:SNDK) has seen its stock rise nearly 6,000%, trading above $2,180 per share. The rally is attributed to surging AI data‑center demand for high‑bandwidth NAND flash memory and enterprise SSDs, which has tightened supply and boosted pricing power for memory makers. Analysts have lifted price targets, with some forecasts exceeding $2,200, while the company’s forward P/E sits above 33, reflecting strong earnings growth expectations.

Institutional investors are adding to the momentum. Polianta Ltd disclosed a new position of 2,100 Sandisk shares valued at roughly $1.33 million in the first quarter. Other funds, including Whittier Trust Co., Greenline Wealth Management, Mitsubishi UFJ Asset Management, Chung Wu Investment Group, and Westfuller Advisors, have also taken or expanded stakes during the past year, underscoring bullish sentiment toward Sandisk’s AI‑linked growth prospects.
