Sandown International Raceway to host Shannons SpeedSeries finale

Sandown International Motor Raceway will host the final rounds of the 2026 Shannons SpeedSeries this weekend, featuring high-stakes championship battles in both the Monochrome GT4 Australia and Trans Am Cup Series.

In the Monochrome GT4 Australia series, all three class titles—Silver, Silver-Am, and Am Cup—remain undecided. The field includes 30 cars from seven manufacturers: Audi, BMW, Ford, McLaren, Mercedes-AMG, Porsche, and Toyota. In the Silver Cup, Tom Hayman and Jett Murray are contending for the title, while Zac Soutar and Glenn Nirwan lead the Silver-Am Cup standings. Glenn Walker currently leads the Am Cup.

The Trans Am Cup Series arrives at Sandown for its penultimate round. Nathan Herne holds a 37-point championship lead in his Chevrolet Camaro, followed by Todd Hazelwood in a Mustang and James Moffat in third. The event also features several driver debuts and returns, including Ayrton Hodson and Jenson Teleskivi, as well as Isaac Demellweek.
