Sandra Bullock sparks debate over comments on raising Black children
Actress Sandra Bullock has shared her concerns regarding raising two Black children as a white mother. During an interview on the ‘Today’ show with Hoda Kotb, Bullock expressed being ‘uber paranoid’ about the safety of her children, Louis and Laila, when they are outside of her home. She noted that because they do not physically resemble her, strangers may not recognize their familial relationship, which contributes to her anxiety about the ‘energy’ in the world and country.
In response to these remarks, media personality Megyn Kelly criticized Bullock on ‘The Megyn Kelly Show.’ Kelly labeled the actress a ‘woke liberal’ and a ‘low-information voter,’ arguing that Bullock’s perspective lacks a basis in reality and accusing her of supporting ‘fake narratives about the police.’
