Sandra Cuevas announces 2030 Mexico City political ambitions

Former Cuauhtémoc mayor Sandra Cuevas has announced her intention to return to politics, expressing interest in running for Head of Government of Mexico City in 2030. Cuevas stated that the city requires more discipline, order, and security, claiming her previous administration in Cuauhtémoc provided these elements.

In addition to her long-term ambitions, Cuevas expressed her support for Citlalli Hernández, a founder of the Morena party, for the 2027 Cuauhtémoc mayoral elections. Cuevas suggested that Hernández possesses the necessary leadership and unity to win the seat, noting her close ties to political figures such as Clara Brugada and President Claudia Sheinbaum.
