Sandra Cuevas, the former mayor of Cuauhtémoc, has reappeared on social media following a facial surgery. In a video shared from a hospital, she is seen wearing bandages and a nasal splint during her recovery process.

While Cuevas has not specified the exact nature of the procedure or whether it was for medical or aesthetic purposes, she stated that she is taking a necessary pause to prioritize her health, happiness, and well-being. She described the period as a “new beginning filled with strength.”

Despite her current absence from public duties for recovery, Cuevas remains active in political circles. Since August 2025, she has been involved with the México Nuevo movement in Mexico City.
