Sandra Drzymalska delivers emotional performance in Violetta Villas biopic

Actress Sandra Drzymalska delivered an emotional performance portraying the legendary Polish singer Violetta Villas in the biographical film ‘Violetta Villas’. During a screening at the Gdynia Film Festival, Drzymalska became visibly moved to tears while discussing her preparation for the role.

Drzymalska described the process as an intense internal struggle, noting that she initially feared the role due to the singer's massive personality. She emphasized that the greatest challenge was not the vocal training, but building an emotional connection with the character. The film, directed by Karolina Bielawska, follows the life of the singer, beginning with her move to Warsaw in the early 1960s.

Krzysztof Gospodarek, the son of Violetta Villas, was also present at the event to witness the portrayal of his mother.
