Sandringham estate closed following Storm Boelo damage

The Sandringham estate in Norfolk has issued an immediate closure notice due to severe weather caused by Storm Boelo. The storm brought heavy rain and winds reaching up to 80mph, resulting in several large trees falling across the 20,000-acre property. One fallen tree caused disruption on the A149 road.

King Charles III was observed walking to St Mary Magdalene Church in Sandringham during the storm, despite the risks of falling branches. Following the service, the King was seen discussing the damage with estate manager Edward Parsons. The official estate social media account stated that the Royal Parkland will remain closed until it is deemed safe to reopen.
