Sandringham Estate opens restored Victorian water tower to guests

The Sandringham Estate has announced the restoration of a Victorian water tower, transforming the 1877 landmark into an intimate overnight retreat for two guests. The tower, originally designed by engineer James Mansergh in a neo-Byzantine style to supply fresh water to the estate, now offers views across the Norfolk countryside.

The interior of the turret suite features heritage-inspired neutral tones, reclaimed materials from the estate, and historic photographs of the royal family. This new accommodation joins other guest options on the estate, such as The Gardens House and The Folly, which have also been restored for public stays. The Sandringham Estate has been in royal hands since 1862.
