Sandro Mamukelashvili joins Los Angeles Lakers

Sandro Mamukelashvili, a sixth-year veteran forward, has joined the Los Angeles Lakers as a depth piece following the offseason moves led by president of basketball operations Rob Pelinka. Mamukelashvili previously played for the Bucks, Spurs, and Raptors, recording a career high of 11.2 points per game last season.

In recent comments regarding team chemistry, Mamukelashvili noted that the group of new players has jelled well during recent team activities, including a trip to Slovenia. He highlighted the positive atmosphere among the roster as the team prepares for training camp, which is expected to begin on September 29.

On the court, Mamukelashvili is noted for his versatility as a big man. Standing at approximately 2.11 meters, he offers the ability to play as a traditional center or stretch to the perimeter to provide spacing with his three-point shooting and mobility.
