Sandro Rivero prioritizes human development in San Martín campaign

Sandro Rivero, the Somos Perú candidate for the San Martín Regional Government, has stated that human development must take precedence over economic development. During an interview, Rivero argued that public investment should be guided by the concrete benefits projects provide to citizens rather than just physical infrastructure.

Rivero emphasized that public works, such as sanitation and health infrastructure, must be evaluated by their ability to reduce disease and provide essential supplies like medicine and specialists. He also addressed the need for a balance between development and environmental conservation, noting the presence of illegal mining in remote areas of the region and calling for a stronger state presence through security and infrastructure.
