Sandwichman's Mikio Date undergoes rehabilitation following cerebral infarction

Takeshi Tomizawa of the comedy duo Sandwichman provided an update on his partner Mikio Date during a radio broadcast on December 5. Date is currently taking a hiatus from activities due to a cerebral infarction.

Tomizawa reported that he visited Date in the hospital, noting that while Date’s physical appearance has not changed significantly, his speech can still be somewhat difficult to understand. Date is reportedly undergoing rehabilitation, which includes practicing tongue twisters and writing to improve his condition.

Tomizawa also discussed the professional challenges of managing their numerous regular programs during Date’s absence. He described the difficulty of navigating scheduling and production changes with various networks, noting the mental strain of maintaining their workload while his partner recovers.
