Sandy Dujardin joins Groupama-FDJ United from TotalEnergies
French cyclist Sandy Dujardin has signed a two-season contract with Groupama-FDJ United, joining the team in 2027. The 29-year-old moves from TotalEnergies following a season that was cut short due to an iliac artery operation.
Dujardin, known for his performances in the Maryland Cycling Classic and Paris-Roubaix, becomes the third rider to depart TotalEnergies for Groupama-FDJ United, following Émilien Jeannière and Alexandre Delettre.
TotalEnergies faces significant uncertainty regarding its future following the announcement that the company will withdraw as the team's primary sponsor. The team has seen 14 riders depart through transfers or retirement, leaving the roster diminished. While the team has applied for a ProTeam license for 2027 and plans to utilize its development squad to fill vacancies, its financial stability remains a primary concern.
