Sanfrecce Hiroshima hosts Pokémon J.League Special Fest

Sanfrecce Hiroshima hosted a ‘Pokémon J.League Special Fest’ at Edion Peace Wing Hiroshima during their match against Nagoya Grampus on September 2. The event is part of a nationwide tie-up between the J.League and Pokémon to celebrate Pokémon’s 30th anniversary and the upcoming 2026/27 season.

The festival featured various activities, including Pokémon GO events, stamp rallies, and foot darts. Special stadium productions included game-style player introductions and appearances by Pikachu and Scorbunny. Approximately 26,892 spectators attended the match.

On the pitch, Sanfrecce Hiroshima secured a victory. After a scoreless first half, Rikuji Kato scored the opening goal in the 71st minute, followed by an additional goal from Akito Suzuki in the 80th minute.
