Sanfrecce Hiroshima unveils ONE VIOLET opening show and PEACE MATCH 2026 for new season

Sanfrecce Hiroshima will stage a special opening ceremony for the 2026/27 J1 League season on 8 August 2026 at Edion Peace Wing Hiroshima. The event, built around the club’s new slogan “ONE VIOLET”, will feature original music and live performance by the Tsugaru shamisen duo Yoshida brothers, linking the club’s three‑arrow emblem with the instrument’s three strings.

The club also announced that the 22 August home match against Kawasaki Frontale will be branded “PEACE MATCH 2026”. Continuing a tradition that began in 2018, the fixture will use football to promote nuclear‑disarmament and lasting peace, tying into Hiroshima’s atomic‑bomb and war‑ending anniversaries. President Masayoshi Kubo said the club has a responsibility to convey the value of peace, noting that “the everyday privilege of playing football is never to be taken for granted.” Merchandise and visual designs related to the peace theme will be released ahead of the match.
