Sanghyeon of ALPHA DRIVE ONE to have vocal cord polyp surgery, suspends activities until Aug 22

Sanghyeon, a member of the K‑pop group ALPHA DRIVE ONE, was diagnosed with a vocal‑cord polyp. His agency WAKEONE announced that he will undergo surgical removal of the polyp on 5 August. Following the operation, he is advised to rest his voice for roughly three weeks and will miss all official schedule commitments from 5 August through 22 August. WAKEONE said he may gradually resume vocal activities after the recovery period, depending on medical guidance and his own condition.

The group’s management emphasized that his health is the top priority and that they will continue to support his rehabilitation. Fans were asked for understanding during his temporary hiatus.
