Sangiovanni releases new single featuring Lucio Dalla sample

Italian singer Sangiovanni has released a new single titled ‘Ti ho cercata (felicità)’, released on September 25, 2026, via Sugar Music. The track serves as the first excerpt from his upcoming album and features a sample of ‘Felicità’, the 1988 hit by the late Lucio Dalla.

Written by Sangiovanni and Alessandro La Cava, the song was produced by Celo (Pietro Celona) and Pietro Posani. The lyrics explore the personal journey of discovering that happiness is found within oneself rather than in external pursuits. The official music video was filmed in Bologna, the hometown of Lucio Dalla, depicting scenes of daily life.

Sangiovanni noted that Dalla’s music has been a significant personal reference point, helping him understand and articulate his own emotions. The single’s visual artwork also maintains an intimate tone, utilizing personal photographs of the artist’s daily life.
