Sangju City expands agricultural distribution with SPC GFS and Nonghyup

Sangju City has signed a business agreement with SPC GFS and Nonghyup Distribution to revitalize the distribution of local agricultural products and establish a win-win network. The initiative aims to expand sales channels by connecting the city’s stable production base with the logistics and sales expertise of major distribution companies.

Under the agreement, SPC GFS will expand its procurement of local specialties such as dried persimmons, pears, and Korean beef to supply its food service and catering networks. Nonghyup Distribution plans to utilize its nationwide Hanaro Mart network to increase sales of Sangju’s grapes, pears, cucumbers, and peaches, starting with planned sales and promotional events in 2027.

By diversifying sales from traditional wholesale markets to food service, catering, and food ingredient sectors, Sangju City intends to create a more stable trading environment and increase farm income by ensuring producers receive fair prices for their goods.
