Sangju hosts 56th Autumn National Middle and High School Basketball Tournament

The 56th Autumn National Middle and High School Basketball Federation Tournament is being held in Sangju from October 2 to 11. Hosted by the Korea Middle and High School Basketball Federation and co-organized by the Sangju Basketball Association, the event features approximately 950 athletes from 80 middle and high school teams across the country.

The tournament schedule includes preliminary rounds from October 2 to 7, followed by quarterfinals and semifinals on October 8 and 9, and the final matches on October 10 and 11. Competitions are taking place at the Sangju Indoor Gymnasium and Sangju High School Gymnasium.

Sangju City officials are preparing facilities and amenities to ensure a safe and comfortable environment for participants and coaches. The city expects the ten-day event to boost the local economy as the large number of visiting athletes and staff utilize local accommodations, restaurants, and convenience facilities.
